This project was such an honor! Herky on Parade is the area’s largest public art installation, only happening every ten years. This year, they made 100 Herky statues and I was proud to help design one of them. The Iowa Memorial Union purchased one of the statues and tasked Erin Fitzgerald and I to design our Herky to commemorate the past 100 years of the IMU. Take a look through the photos to see our Herky come to life!

I was tasked with filling this nook on the ground floor of the Iowa Memorial Union. They wanted to represent the Hawkeye Wave somehow which is a tradition at University of Iowa football games to turn and wave to the kids in the Children’s Hospital right across the street. I had already seen this photo in our image library and instantly knew it’d be a great space for it! We did have to Photoshop in a few people on the sides to be able to see the entire hospital but it turned out well! I designed the wall and the plaque next to it, made mockups, prepped files to print, and worked with our vendor to get it installed.
Wall specs: 187.25 x 78.5” printed vinyl
Plaque specs: 13.75 x 8.5” laser etched on sintra
The Food Pantry at Iowa was moving from a small nook within the IMU to the ground floor next to an ice cream shop, the official university book store, coffeeshop, etc. This was a pilot project to see how the Food Pantry would be received in such a public space. Knowing this, the IMU directors didn't want to take out walls or any permanent fixtures which was a challenge but understandable. We had two months to study the habits of the Food Pantry workers and shoppers and elevate the experience all around. Within the first month of the Food Pantry opening, the number of visitors increased by 160% from that time last year - wow!

Harold Bradley Jr. was an alumnus from the University of Iowa who played football (collegiate and professional), was an artist, musician, and actor. This project was originally started before I was hired and took us over a year and a half to complete. The Chief Innovation Officer for the University asked us to create a memorial for Harold Bradley Jr. within the IMU. We collaborated with him, the IMU building directors, the Athletics department, the University Special Collections and Archives, and finally Harold Bradley Jr.'s children. We mocked up this display in four different locations within the building and this was the winning spot. Once the display was finished, the CIO hosted a ribbon-cutting event to show off our hard work.

Allow me to introduce you to the newest Tap Truck in Des Moines - The Rolling Social Club! The owner wanted a modern logo to go with the vibe of her Italian Ape truck. The name lended itself to being a really fun logo and I think pulled it all together so perfectly!
The owner has since sold the truck to spend more time with her family but I'm still proud of how it turned out!

Texas A&M Division of IT hosts the University System's annual Technology Summit every February at the Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston, TX. I created marketing materials including digital signage, outdoor banners, conference shirts, name badges, directional signs, table tents, flyers and more.
My duties while at the conference included co-hosting and assisting the event coordinator.
View the Tech Summit program I designed here.
Tech Summit Stats: 500+ attendees, 60+ speakers, 130+ sponsors, 15 staff workers, 3 days.

This is a newsletter that Texas A&M IT mails out bi-annually to all employees across campus (roughly 10,000 distributed).
Since these are mailed out to all employees, it needed to appeal to and be understood by a non-technical audience. We wanted to offer a mix of stories about basics of “the cloud,” as well as covering collaboration tools that would help both faculty and staff members. The articles needed to have a mix of both basic information and more in-depth descriptions of services.

I created a new brand when Mg Biologics got licensed to ship product to Canada. I used the Canadian red as well as their signature maple leaf in the logo to separate it from the other products offered. The bottom image is the label used on all products shipped to Canada.

My previous branding of myself incorporated this little guy, I call him Henry. I used him on my resume, business card, website and as a leave-behind at interviews. His fun personality helped me stand out from other applicants right out of college. Thanks, Henry!
